E. Randall Silvers
B-flat Tenor Horn
Randall enjoyed a long career in the military, with service in the Army, Air Force and Marines and a variety of duties including work in intelligence, experience as a medic, active duty in Vietnam, and music. Randall is married and has a son and a daughter.
Randall began playing music when he was six years old and plays all brass instruments, principally the trombone. While in the military he performed all over the world with the Marine Corps Band for 5 years. In addition to the Civil War Band, Randall plays horn with the Salvation Army Band and plays bass guitar with the Praise Team for church services. He recently retired as the Band Master of the Salvation Army Band in Long Beach, California.
Randall is a charter member of the Band and serves as resident arranger/composer. When he is not playing music Randall enjoys playing classic card games, reading science fiction, and being a "Trekkie."
