lLarry plays E flat Cornet, is a Charter Band member of the Band and a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles where he completed a BA degree in music. He is married to Jennifer, has four children and currently resides in Whittier, CA. In addition to his musical talent, Larry has been a licensed surveyor and owner of Schmahl Surveying since 1987.

Larry is also involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as the Advisor for Venture Crew 564 and as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 546 in the Los Angeles Council area.
He is also an active birder and Field Trip leader for the Whittier Audubon Society.
