Dr. Scott began his musical career playing clarinet in 4th grade.  Although he was a clarinet major in college, Dr. Scott claims, "I spent most of my time playing sax and made all of my money playing drums." In the past, Dr. Scott has served as: the director of bands for Bellflower Unified School District and Cerritos Community College; Associate Director of Bands at California State University, Los Angeles; Instrumental Musical Specialist for Rowland Unified School District.  The position in Rowland required Dr. Scott to drive around a modified school bus to various school sites which served as a "mobile band room.

When not playing/conducting music or tackling the challenges of our educational systems, Dr. Scott enjoys traveling in his motorhome and enjoys reading techo-thrillers.
